August Axel Jewelry Classes is a hands-on jewelry-making studio located just south of Atlanta in Peachtree City, GA. Owned and operated by Christy Sears—a Texafornia Mama with a wry sense of humor and an infectious giggle—we welcome students of all experience levels to learn, laugh, and create.

Originally founded in Venice, California, the studio moved east to Georgia and continues its mission: teaching the heart/hands/mind connection. We believe that if you starve one, the others suffer—so we feed them all through creative metalsmithing.

Our classes focus on solid and safe bench instruction, combined with hands-on practice that helps you work safely, creatively, and independently. We don’t just teach the “how,” but also the “why” and “when,” so you can build lasting skills and confidence at your bench.

Whether you're interested in stacking rings, bezel setting, or beginner-friendly brass & silver jewelry projects, our technique-based classes let you pick what works best for your creative goals. Most classes are just one 4.5-hour session—long enough to dive deep, short enough to avoid burnout. No weeks-long commitment required.

While many of our students come from Fayette County, Peachtree City, and the greater Atlanta area, we've also welcomed guests from across Georgia, the Southeast, and even from out of state, who travel here for our unique jewelry workshops and vibrant creative community.
